Scholarship Gala, May 2, 2023, [was]
Ladonna Gatlin. Dr. June Hogue, WBU
Professor Emeritus, was honored for 50 years
of service as a full-time educator, including
20 years at Wayland. The annual gala raises
funds to support scholarships for deserving
students. Hogue’s dedication to education
has impacted countless students throughout
her tenure, and she continues to inspire
current and future educators to this day. “We
are honored to recognize Dr. June Hogue’s
contributions to Wayland Baptist University
and the field of education,” said Dr. Judy
Jarratt, Executive Director of Wayland’s
Lubbock campus. Proceeds of the event were
used to create the Dr. June Hogue Endowed
Scholarship.
