Immediately after our cover shoot at the beautiful new VA clinic, veterans were honored at the McKenzie-Merket
Alumni Center with a Tribute Banquet. Veteran and TTU System Chancellor Dr. Tedd Mitchell, the keynote speaker,
delivered a timely and inspirational message in honor of all the veterans in attendance. U.S. Rep. Jodey Arrington
and Texas Rep. Charles Perry expressed gratitude virtually for all area veterans and Gold Star families, and Berklee
Timmons entertained with moving renditions of our National Anthem and God Bless America. Each veteran was
presented with a commemorative coin, a boutonniere, and more.
