t’s rewarding to have friends in
your life whose varied successes
Iare discovered gradually as
you spend time together. My
wife and I have enjoyed getting to
know the multi-faceted Katherine
McLamore, and it’s a pleasure to
document a few examples of her
accomplishments.
I work with Katherine at Kindred
Hospice where she has been the
Manager of Volunteer Services
for over ten years. She skillfully
oversees a cadre of 60 volunteers
and leads by example, often using
her gifts to minister at a bedside in
a private home or by entertaining
large groups in retirement
communities, as well as many
other venues, notably at Texas Tech
baseball games and banquets for
the Military Officer’s Association of
America.
Katherine is an accomplished singer,
musician, and songwriter and has
often performed with other local
talent, like Greg Goodnight and
Keith White. Her instrument of
choice is the mountain dulcimer,
and those who have heard her
perform say it is the perfect
