Transition Center. During the holidays, the members
of High Point Village have an open house and serve
lunch and cookies to the customers. Becky’s passion for
giving back to the local community is in every decision
she makes as a business owner. She has touched so
many lives in this community and surrounding areas.
Everyone who knows her will tell you, “Becky is one of
the most gracious and caring people.” The world is a
better place because of people like her.
Y O U R
Rebecca Pearson Taylor was born in Marshall, Texas,
with two older brothers and one younger sister. She was O N E S T O P
raised in a Christian home where they loved to listen to S H O P P I N G M A L L
gospel music. Her parents were loving and supportive
of her aspirations to be a strong, successful woman. 66th & Indiana
Becky’s faith in God, love of her family, and passion for
music has had the greatest impact on her life. “Amazing
Grace”, “One Day at a Time”, and “An American
Trilogy” are Becky’s favorite songs. Each one of these
has a different memory and influence in her life.
Becky met Dave Taylor while he was working at the
local radio station in Marshall as a DJ. After a whirlwind
romance, they were soon married. In September of 1965,
Dave and Becky moved to Ralls, Texas, where Dave
continued work as a DJ, and Becky took a position at
Security State Bank and Trust. She quickly advanced the family moved to Lubbock, where they had another
in her career and soon became the bank’s first female son (Warren).
Vice President. In addition to her success at the bank,
Becky also became the first woman to be President of the With three small children, Becky focused on the home

took her children with her to market. Becky also built a
successful estate sale business, purely by word-of-mouth.
In 1992, Becky opened a booth at a new store, KK’s Craft
Mall. Little did she know that, 21 years later, she would
buy the store and make it her own.
KKs Corner Mall is now a family business, with all her
children making their own mark on the store. Becky
works side-by-side with her daughter, Kristi, and Warren
and Weston help out where need be. Her family has
grown to include eight grandchildren, whom Becky
absolutely adores and welcomes to help out at the store!
Her words of wisdom to others, and especially to her
grandchildren are, “Never Stop Dreaming, Laugh
Uncontrollably Daily, and Know You Can Do Anything.”
Becky Taylor uses these words to live by, every single
day.
