they even added bitmojis, which Bob likes to call “my little
men”. Each has a character that looks like them, and they
add actions and signs to emphasize their points. It goes
on throughout the game, back and forth, until the end
when Joe makes a final comment and Bob remarks, “It’s a
slaughter!” even if we only win by two points. It’s so much
fun to watch this scenario play out every game, and it’s
wonderful to be a part of this great family.
Andy is the senior pastor of St. Luke’s UMC. His wife
Janey teaches at Cooper Central.
She added her thoughts:
My husband talks about how special it was to be a part of

Joe and Christy own Hurst Farm Supply with
brother Terry and wife Sheri. They all live in

Christy described one specific tradition:
Joe and his brothers all have a love for Texas
Tech, which I’m sure was passed down from
their dad, who always wore a special red hat to
all the games. Whenever a Tech game is about HURST FARM SUPPLY PROUDLY
to start, the phone starts buzzing - usually it’s SUPPORTS OUR VETERANS
Kerry first: “Tech game has started.” Soon all
the other brothers pop up on a group text, and
the comments continue from each one as we
watch the game. The discussion ranges from
