touched many lives during his years of preaching

When asked how he would like to be remembered,
he simply said, “As a man who loved God, his
family and his country.” A. C. is a stellar example
of someone who has demonstrated how to do all of

they were ‘itching’ to come through the
Fulda Gap (a traditional invasion route into
Germany).” Asa felt like “we spent most
of our time in the field doing exercises and
practicing being ‘cannon fodder’ for them.”
He also felt like the “only things that kept
them from coming were nuclear weapons
           and the U.S. Air Force.”

Asa went on the 2017 Texas
                 South Plains Honor Flight. His
                 favorite stop was the Korean
                 War Memorial. He also enjoyed
being with his son, Terry, who
                 went along as his guardian.

After spending a year and a half in
Germany, Asa was discharged on December We are proud of our
