through our final year. She affectionately refers to us as
her “little angels,” and we know we can always count on
her. Whether it’s grabbing an extra snack before lunch,
getting help with an assignment, or joking around after
school, Mrs. Cruce is always there with a kind word or a
helping hand.
But Mrs. Cruce’s love for CTK extends far beyond the
classroom. “I love the camaraderie among the staff, the
small-town feel of the school, and, most importantly,
the opportunity to hopefully inspire young people to
be the best they can be,” she said. This connection is
something she treasures and nurtures, evident in her
ability to make every student feel seen and valued.
Her impact isn’t just measured in the present but in the
lasting relationships she’s built over decades. Former
students often return to CTK with their own children,
eager to share the experience they cherished. These
moments mean the world to her. “It is very rewarding to

Analisa Irene DeLuna is a senior at Christ the King Diocesan High School, where she
has attended since PreK3. She has served as captain of the Lady Lions Volleyball team,
and has competed in tennis and golf. She is also the varsity cheer manager and Student
Council President. Her passion for forensics began in childhood, sparked by a love for
true crime documentaries and medical TV dramas. This interest has shaped her academic
path. She will be majoring in biology with a minor in forensics at Texas Tech University's
Honor College, and plans to pursue a master's in forensic pathology or toxicology. In
addition to forensics, she enjoys art as a relaxing hobby and has competed in TAPPS art
competitions. As the youngest in her family, she follows the footsteps of her brother,
who was featured in Senior Link Magazine in 2020.
