to determined young adults, she now helps guide us
through our final year. She affectionately refers to us as
her “little angels,” and we know we can always count on
her. Whether it’s grabbing an extra snack before lunch,
getting help with an assignment, or joking around after
school, Mrs. Cruce is always there with a kind word or a
        helping hand.

But Mrs. Cruce’s love for CTK extends far beyond the
classroom. “I love the camaraderie among the staff, the
small-town feel of the school, and, most importantly,
the opportunity to hopefully inspire young people to
be the best they can be,” she said. This connection is
something she treasures and nurtures, evident in her
ability to make every student feel seen and valued.
Her impact isn’t just measured in the present but in the
lasting relationships she’s built over decades. Former
students often return to CTK with their own children,
eager to share the experience they cherished. These
moments mean the world to her. “It is very rewarding to
have former students, and even your own grandchildren, optimism, she views each day as a blessing. “I look at
seek you out to share how something you taught them every day as a gift and old age as a privilege many are

she said. For Mrs. Cruce, CTK is more than just a school; it is

Even after decades of teaching, Mrs. Cruce remains as family. Her role as “G” perfectly symbolizes the unique
passionate and engaged as ever. She credits her students bond she shares with us. And as she often reminds us,
with keeping her young and energized. Known for her “No one can have too much family.”
