true motivation to work harder. Mr. Isaac was such an
inspiration to me, it has made me want to be a leader in
my community and give back. Therefore, I have joined
many programs that my school has to offer, such as
Student Council, National Honor Society, Chick-fil-a
Leadership Academy, HYPE Volunteer Center (Helping
Youth Purposefully Engage), and many more, just so I
can follow in the footsteps of such a great leader.
A word of advice from him was always to have a plan.
He stresses to the youth that having a plan is important
as well as to focus on what you want to do or who you
want to become. Once you figure that out, the next step
is how you're going to get there after high school. He
says it’s a good idea to have a backup plan in case one
plan doesn’t work out. In fact, it might be wise to have
multiple plans in the works.
Mr. Isaac feels truly honored to be leaving such a legacy.
¨The biggest reward is when the students come back
a whole lot better than before and seeing how I've
impacted their life,¨ he said. I am honored to have been
able to sit with Mr. Isaac. He is the kind of role model
that any place would be lucky to have, but we are the
luckiest for having him at “the E”—Estacado.

he has been a role model to me. Having a wise leader
is such a crucial part of my high school experience.
It changed the way I see and experience things. His
wisdom has made the years go by easier. He not only
does his job but also provides advice or tips and tricks
about high school to make the time fly by. He is a true
inspiration.

place, who has made huge accomplishments in life, is

Kennedy Edwards is
the daughter of Nicole
Henderson and Kerri Edwards.
She is a senior at Estacado High
School where she participates in
Academic Decathlon, National
Honor Society, Student Council,
and HOSA (Health Occupations
Students Association), and
takes a CNA class. She hopes
to attend the University of
Houston to major in nursing.
