the kitchen. When I contacted Outback’s corporate
headquarters to acknowledge what the Lubbock
franchise had done, they requested the story and
pictures for inclusion in their corporate newsletter.
Betty was with us for almost three years, and her
life confirmed to me that interactions with others
are at least as important as any medicine. At the
Porch Swing, we are charged with caring for people
in their final years. Providing special moments and
memories is one of the things that enhances the lives
of our residents and brings us great joy as well.
