HONORING SENIORS

The impressive Hall of Nations rotunda in Texas Tech University’s
International Cultural Center was the venue for Senior Link’s annual
“Senior2Senior” banquet. Keynote speaker, Janie Landin Ramirez,
captivated the group of high school seniors and their honorees with an
inspiring and motivating address, as she connected with each one of
the young authors individually and paid a personal tribute to each one
of their mentors.

Janie is featured in Texas Tech’s Centennial Commemorative volume
100 Years—100 Voices, and you can read her incredibly inspirational
story in this issue of Senior Link.
Homemade Goodness by Jada catered the delicious fajita fiesta, and
parents, grandparents, friends, teachers, and coaches showed up to
celebrate the mutual respect of two generations.

Senior Link’s mission: Accomplished.

We are sincerely grateful to ABC Bank for their longstanding support
in hosting the event and supplying each of the thoughtful and talented
teenage contributors with a unique gift and a generous check.
