leg injury from refereeing a local football game. The
injury caused him to have surgery and miss school for
several weeks. During that time, you were able to see
the true impact that he had made on everyone at the
school. There was constant prayer going on for him.
There wasn’t a day that went by that his name wasn’t
mentioned in some form or fashion. He also received
countless texts from students to let him know that
everyone was praying and supporting him through
that process. It was also amazing to see the immediate
impact the school felt upon his return; people were
constantly stopping by his classroom to see how
he was feeling. Sometimes, students are happy if a
teacher misses school, but when you have a whole
school supporting you and missing you, the impact
you have on the students becomes evident.
Mr. German is, and always will be, one of the greatest
Christian men I know, which is why he is one of the
best examples of a role model. The fruit he produces
by showing love on so many levels has influenced my
life in a big way. I am grateful for the inspiration he
has given me and so many of my fellow students.

prettier and more put together, he chooses the song
that is a little more chaotic, yet more fun.
