A YOUTHFUL PERSPECTIVE
equipment on fire trucks
and how they use them.
I’m so thankful to have
been a part of this event,
although I was sad to see
that a lot of people have
forgotten about this day.
It was so special to bless
the firefighters. When
we came with the meals,
they were so surprised and appreciative.
It might make a difference if this effort were
expanded to include the police stations, EMS
stations, the area volunteer fire departments, and
the sheriff and DPS departments, too. If more
schools, churches, and other local organizations
participated in this event on September 11, no first
responder would feel forgotten. What can you do
this September 11th to honor those on the front
lines?
For information on how to participate in and/
or contribute to the Never Forget effort, please

Ed. Note: The original idea for this initiative was
pitched to Erin Agee by Carl Tepper, both of whose
daughters are Talkington classmates of Tinsley’s, and
who participated with her and several others in the
first mission to remember 9/11 by appreciating our
local first responders.
