FIRST RESPONDERS

a faithful supporter of EVERYONE getting their hearing

noise exposure that can affect their hearing.

Mark and Lynda have been married 41 years and have
two married children and six grandchildren. Their son

Mark says there is one question everyone always asks
firefighters: Does the fire department really have a

                                                               made a great mascot!

Mark was called to an incident involving a domestic
violence threat where Lynda worked. Fortunately, it
was resolved, but fear in the heart of the spouse of a
first responder is real. It requires faith and trust each
day their loved one goes out to serve our community
as a First Responder. For Mark and Lynda, that trust
is in the Lord. But despite the risk he often faced,
Mark told me that the most rewarding part of his
job was being able to help people. He retired from
Station #13 in 2014, after 21 years of service.

Lynda comes from a family with a history of hearing
loss. Her father and grandfather both dealt with the
problem, and her sister suffered from a childhood
disease that affected her hearing nerve. As Lynda
