the fire.
That’s when he looked
down and noticed the
radio mic cord dangling
on the floorboard; it was
unplugged. The Chief
simply replied, “Well, it’s
almost shift change.” Jerry
worked many double
shifts while with the fire
department. He also ran
a successful plumbing,
heating/air conditioning
company during his spare
time. Being idle was never
an option for Jerry Kelley.
The life of a firefighter is
often challenging. “There
were many tragedies I
had to face. Only my faith
in the Good Lord got me
