The couple is still very much in
love, and their love for Christ has
only enhanced their love for each
other. During a marriage enrichment
weekend, they sat cross-legged on the
bed sharing, “What you mean to me.”
Communication is key to a long life of
growing in love. During a Lay Witness
Mission weekend, they recall the
question asked in small groups, “Tell
me who you are?” They agreed the
answer that makes all the difference is
“a child of God.”

the kidney. Since Cheryl was away, Eddie spent
time alone with God praying and meditating. When
Cheryl returned home, Eddie shared his diagnosis
and the peace that Holy Spirit had given him.
Surgery removed the cancer, and no follow up
treatments were necessary. The Teeters never
expected to be thankful for a kidney stone, but the
painful problem turned out to be a blessing.
Eddie retired from farming (up to 4,000 acres) in
