One memorable time for Eddie was during a cotton
harvest, while Cheryl was away serving on an
Emmaus Walk team. He was hosting passengers from
China as he drove the stripper through the white
fields. He developed incredible pain in his gut but
managed to be a good host despite his discomfort.
Soon, he made it to the ER where a kidney stone
was discovered. The stone passed, but the doctor
had to tell Eddie that images revealed a tumor on
the kidney. Since Cheryl was away, Eddie spent
time alone with God praying and meditating. When
Cheryl returned home, Eddie shared his diagnosis
and the peace that Holy Spirit had given him.
Surgery removed the cancer, and no follow up
treatments were necessary. The Teeters never
expected to be thankful for a kidney stone, but the
painful problem turned out to be a blessing.

Eddie retired from farming (up to 4,000 acres) in
2019, but he still loves to travel out to the farmland
and relish the sunrises and the Creator’s beauty in
the West Texas countryside and maybe catch a fish
             or two. He and Cheryl love their legacy of sons;
