I have known Bob Wyett for over 30 years, and we
have served together through Lubbock Habitat
for Humanity on several occasions. Bob and I
also served together as volunteers and board
members for the Sick Children’s Clinic, a non-profit
         organization which provides medical treatment
without cost from volunteer doctors and provides
prescription medication at no cost to children in the
South Plains area. Bob truly has a compassionate
         heart for serving others.

Bob, along with wife JoAnn, have been committed
volunteers with Family Promise of Lubbock,
a program that serves homeless families with
children, since 1999. Bob and JoAnn have faithfully
welcomed and helped these families to overcome
bad situations and to learn of God’s grace, love, and
         forgiveness.

I had the opportunity of working with Bob on a
regular basis serving food to the homeless at St.
Benedict’s Chapel each Thursday evening for several
years. His interaction with the homeless was always
non-judgmental and caring. It was apparent that
he had a servant’s heart and was willing to serve
in whatever capacity he was needed. Everyone,
volunteers and those who were served, knew that
         Bob was a friend.
