            To be honest, I was very skeptical.  How could we do
            anything to even make a dent in the needs of these
            poor children’s lives?  I walked over and sat down

            next to me, I looked into each of their eyes and saw

               Mary Grace Cude is a senior at Lubbock High School. She plans
               to attend either the University of Texas or Texas Tech University
               and study pre-physical therapy. She enjoys volunteer work at the
               Lubbock  Dream  Center,  NHS,  Student  Council,  debate,  Young
               Entrepreneurs  League,  tutoring,  babysitting,  and  hanging  out
               with family and friends.
