There are many tips available to make hearing and
understanding easier to achieve. If you already have invested
in hearing aids but still struggle to follow communication, a
good idea is to take them to your hearing health professional
and explain in detail the various situations in which you still
find difficulty. We are here to help.
Some other great tips include:
• When dining out with a group, choose a restaurant that has
carpet, lower ceilings, and very soft music if any.
• Choose to sit against the wall instead in the middle of the
dining area.
• Always look directly at the person speaking to you, and
if possible, ask them to say your name first to get your
attention.
• Avoid trying to communicate from separate rooms.
• Use the MUTE button on the TV when talking or listening
so that all the focus is on the communication.
