My Grandmother
by Trent Cathey
Gay Martin, my grandmother, is the most valuable person in my whole life! She talks to me when I’m
hurting or having a problem. You just couldn’t imagine anyone like her. She has helped me in so many
hard situations. My granny is very cheerful, and she’s usually happy, and she is loving and caring. She
is currently working hard to provide for me and my dad (who helps her) by sewing. She works from
home with my dad. She is the most important person to me.

My granny and grandpa have always influenced me. Whether it’s baking pies and rosettes or working at
the dairy, my granny and grandpa are always good influences. My granny is always finding ways to have
fun and educate me. She shows me how to bake, play piano, and decorate. She is always finding ways to
have fun also. Grandpa teaches me different ways to paint, barbecue and build. He finds things in their
town to help out with all the time. I love you Granny and Grandpa. You are amazing.
