          The Advice That Still Echoes

Spring brings graduations - and reflections. Many seniors don’t realize that a few words once shared may still be
shaping a young person’s life today.

High school seniors are often asked who influenced them most. Frequently, they name someone who offered
encouragement at just the right moment—a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle, teacher, coach, or church leader.

Want to preserve mentoring memories? Try this:
            • Think of a child, grandchild, niece or nephew, student, or youth you encouraged
            • Write down what you said—and when it mattered
            • Note what was happening in their life at the time

                                                                                  Don’t assume they forgot.
Even small encouragement can become part of someone’s story
—and part of their family history. Your words may still be echoing.
