My grandmother’s portrayal of her faith
has come through years of emphasis on her

meetings with other members of her church
family.
Even though I do not see her daily, she still
manages to impact my spiritual life in small I aspire to have the same kind of faith as my
ways. In our family group chat, she sends my grandmother. She is an example of how I should live

Emily Moore, daughter of Craig and Kim Moore, is a senior at Monterey High School. She
has participated in the PLTW Biomedical Engineering program since her freshman year
of high school and is now working on obtaining her Patient Care Technician certification
from the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center. Emily is actively involved in the
Sunset Church of Christ youth group, enjoys spending her time with family and friends,
and can often be found with her attention fully invested in her most cherished books.
After graduation, Emily will attend the Texas Tech University Honors College in the fall
to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
