C.B. MARTIN (deceased) was an original member
             who was born and raised in Lubbock.  He is a
             brother to Byron Martin of Claude Martin & Sons
             Construction and Betty Van Ness.  He served in WWII
             with the Navy Seabees in Guam. His wife Conny
             Martin was a well-respected artist and art teacher in
             Lubbock beginning in the 1950s. Glenna Goodacre acknowledged Conny Martin
             as her first art teacher. (Ed. Note: C.B. and Conny are the author’s parents.)
