        Mom started working for the Texas Department of
        Health.  Dad served as Hudspeth County Sheriff for
        six years, serving two years on the unexpired term
        of the previous sheriff and was reelected in 1976 and
        served a four-year term until December of 1980, when
        he lost the election by a small margin. They moved
        to Lubbock where Mom had received a transfer in
        her job, and Dad began working at the Lubbock State
        School.  They had these jobs until, in 1997, they both
        retired at the same time. They still live in Lubbock.

        Claymon and Martha celebrated their 64th wedding
        anniversary this past June. They have occupied their
        time with various volunteer duties, including playing
        music in nursing homes and volunteering with
        reuniting families after Hurricane Katrina. Daughter,
        Anita, passed away in 1998. If the counting is correct,
        there is a family total of 38, including all the in-laws
        that married into this clan.  In addition to their four
