                                                            “You may not get to see, in person, the impact a scholarship
                                                            makes, but I can tell you that it has made a significant
                                                            difference in my life,” Danae said. “The Talkington scholarship
                                                            has helped me achieve my goals, both financially and
                                                            academically, and I am grateful for that.”
                                                            The Talkington Foundation’s investment in higher education
                                                            at South Plains College has not been limited to scholarships.
                                                            A large lead grant has contributed significantly to the
                                                            establishment of a new culinary arts program at the college’s
                                                            newly-opened Lubbock Center at 3907 Ave. Q. The Talkington
