she loved us and only wanted us to
make good decisions for our future.
Even if she’s really loud sometimes,
and extremely stubborn, Nana is first
and foremost someone on whom I can
depend. After all these years of having
to deal with our large family, with its
many, many problems, she has never
given up on any of us, and continues
to care for everyone. Nana even gets
            everyone presents during Christmas,
even if she doesn’t know them, because it
makes her sad that someone in her house
on Christmas day might not receive
a gift while everyone else does. Her
            thoughtfulness and endless affection is
very admirable, as it takes someone with
a very large heart to be able to love so
            much.

Now that I’m an adult, and about
to be all on my own for college, I’ve
really been reflecting and thinking am, and it gives me confidence to continue working
about all the people who have given me strength and hard without worrying about others judging me for
encouragement throughout my life. I can confidently overdoing things. “Go, be a doctor,” she says. “Ignore
say that my Nana has definitely had the most impact on the boys, and go make money!” I laugh when I hear her
me, as her wisdom and shared experiences have taught say things like that, but I get a warm feeling knowing
me a lot. She was born in the 1940s and hasn’t lived an that Nana is always looking out for me, and wants me
