As the keeper of the memories, Don cherishes the times
he’s had with Mona and their three children, as well as
their grandchildren. But he’s also the keeper of hope,
looking forward to all that is to come when they step
into the perfect healing found in the presence of Jesus in
eternity.
He speaks slowly and with conviction, discussing
something to which he has dedicated hundreds of hours
of contemplation since Mona’s illness. “My favorite
verse is 2 Corinthians 4, starting in verse 16. ‘Therefore,
we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is
perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by
day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is
working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight
of glory, while we do not look at the things which are CALL TODAY
seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things Are you or someone you
