When asked how he would encourage
the younger generations of today,
Jim replied, “Past generations have
made it possible for you to follow their
example. Don’t give up... You can make
a contribution, too.” Just like John F.
Kennedy said, “Ask not what your
country can do for you, but ask what can
you do for your country”.
Jim’s eyes light up when he talks about
the Honor Flight. A man at the VA Clinic
saw his WWII cap and asked If he’d ever
been to Washington. That conversation
resulted in a wonderful experience
for Jim Guyton. He proudly displays
his cherished mementos from the trip. herrin
His favorite part was experiencing the

and the Vietnam Wall. He even knew
some of the other Korean War veterans.
