Emerson Head is the daughter of Talia and Chase Head. She has been a Frenship Tiger
her entire life and is currently a senior at FHS. She is a varsity cheerleader, a member of
the National Honor Society, a part of the Unified Track team, and in the top 10% of her
class. She is also involved in her church and a member of the Lubbock National Charity
League, and is the project and marketing assistant for Yucca Properties. She plans to
attend Texas Tech University and major in Architecture or Civil Engineering.

George is deeply loyal to Texas Tech and to Lubbock
itself, proudly supporting the Red Raiders and
spending his free time enjoying the city with his CLUTTER STEALS CLARITY...
wife, which shows how connected he remains to CREATE SPACE
                                                                   CREATE SPACE
                                                                   FEEL JOY
the place that gave him his opportunities. George FEEL JOY
and I connected over our shared appreciation for
Frenship ISD, as George once worked in a shop Transform Your Home with Our
                                                                   Tailored Organization Solutions
during the 1960s where the owner often spoke highly
of Frenship, inspiring George to later ensure that his Text “JOY” to learn more
own children attended school there. Both his son and (806) 438-8557
daughter graduated from Frenship High School, and
our discussion about the school opened my eyes to
aspects of Frenship I had never fully appreciated.
Although I attend Frenship High School myself,
George helped me see the incredible value of our
vocational programs and how they prepare students
for successful careers in trades after graduation.
George highlighted the incredible aspects of these
programs and spoke nothing but praise over them,
making me realize just how fortunate my peers
and I are to attend a school that prioritizes real-
world success. One of the most impactful parts of
the interview was hearing George reflect on the
wisdom he has gained throughout his life, which he
summarized into three personal mottos: Do not go
against your gut feeling. Do not let people talk you
into something you do not want to do. Do not do
things that will not make a profit. These principles,
along with his belief in always working until success
is achieved, define his approach to life.

George explained that he never gives up after one
failure, instead creating a plan A, plan B, and as many
additional plans as necessary until he succeeds, a
mindset that demonstrates resilience, discipline, and
confidence. From George, I learned that success is
not always a straight path, and that trusting yourself,
adapting to change, and staying committed to your
values can lead not only to personal achievement but
also to a lasting impact on others.
