the family into a legacy project. By giving them creative
options, a heartbeat recording will look different for each
person and family. The song playing behind the heartbeat
can be the patient's favorite song, a hymn that was special
to them, or a special message. A heartbeat provides the
opportunity to create something as a family unit, but more
importantly, gives families a meaningful way to remember
a loved one.
Music Therapy is a great reminder that patient care
and comfort extend beyond just medicine. Through
music, patients are given the opportunity to reflect on
their journey, express their emotions in a safe way, and
leave meaningful legacies for their friends and families.
