LOCAL LEGENDS
Dad loves his church friends at Shepherd King
Lutheran, and he keeps stacks of bulletins to prove
it. After church, you can catch him eating at Abuelos
where he is treated like royalty. A favorite pastime is
“gaming” online with my sister Shari, his youngest
daughter, and gardening. He continues to cook for his
family and friends on the farm. A full course breakfast
is always on the menu, crab boils for the entire family,
fajitas for his “other favorite” son-in-law, Randy Joe,
who engages in Saturday bike rides along the farm
route or enjoys Allen cooking his famous roast with all
the fixings just because.
In September, my dad and his three children and their
spouses all traveled to Rockport, TX. My parents spent
so many days there over the years where they fished,
ate their way along the canals, and relaxed near the
beautiful, warm Texas beaches. We shared so many
memories and dedicated this eternally unforgettable Shepherd King Lutheran Church
trip a tribute to his lovely wife, our Leta, our Mother,
