FIRST RESPONDERS
Having received an abundance of gift cards and snacks
prompted him to begin paying these gifts forward
to the homeless community members when called
out to assess their well-being. This act of selflessness
was unbeknownst to his family and friends for quite
some time, and upon discovery, gave them a deeper
understanding of his character and what it truly means

While I cannot speak for the heart of all officers of the
law, I feel confident in speaking for this one, as I have
been married to him for 20 years. My husband, Officer
Russell Landes, is the oldest recruit to have graduated
from the Lubbock Police Academy and is currently
serving his sixth year on the force. My hope is that this

continue to support and encourage these courageous
men and women, as they are truly humbled by the
honor to serve.
