         her daughter, to me, and will continue with my son as a
         foundational steppingstone for his future.
         My grandmother’s faith would be a further testament     G r o w i n g
         to her strong nature after my step-grandfather’s passing
         in 2020. Soon after he passed away, my grandma was
         provided an opportunity to help others once again,          S t u d e n t s
         and she took in her neighbor’s young daughter. She
         has always felt the need to help others, and, without          O n e   S e a s o n
         hesitation, she took in the small child and cared for her
         as her own. Currently, she still resides in Lamesa and
         is very active in her church. She volunteers for meals,                    a    a   T i m e
         plans upcoming events, and enjoys speaking to the
         congregation every chance she gets. When she is not                            w w w . r o o s e v e l t . k 1 2 . t x . u s
         at church, she enjoys spending time with her sister or                                  ( 8 0 6 )   8 4 2 - 3 2 8 2
         gardening.

         Ernestina Salazar – my grandmother, my compass, my
         number #1 fan – has made an impact on every aspect
         of my life. Her generous and loving soul spreads to
         everyone around her. She has spent her life showing
