                                                                                 struggled with drug addiction, but
                                                                                 my grandmother helped him work
                                                                                 through his recovery program. They
                                                                                 grew together in their faith – making
                                                                                 their family stronger than ever.
                                                                                 Her ability to see the good in
                                                                                 everyone has always been in
                                                                                 the forefront of my mind. At the
                                                                                 beginning of my senior year, there
                                                                                 was a girl who was rarely liked;
                                                                                 everyone always talked about her
                                                                                 poor attitude and their general
                                                                                 dislike for her. Knowing what my
                                                                                 grandma would do in this situation,
                                                                                 I took it upon myself to be one of her
                                                                                 friends, and it turned out to be such
                                                                                 a positive friendship. Ultimately, my
                                                                                 grandmother pushed me to find the
                                                                                 good in everyone, regardless of the
                                                                                 circumstance.
