Flying to Hawaii, the excitement in the air was
unimaginable. As we landed in Hawaii and met
up with the other side of the family, we couldn’t
stop talking about our high expectations for the
trip. As the ship cruised from island to island,
the memories made with my family will never
be forgotten, and I have my grandma to thank.
My grandmother and I roomed together again,
and we spent mornings and nights on the
balcony, reliving and laughing at the events that
took place that day.
I’ve made countless memories with my family,
and my grandmother has always been a crucial
part of that. As grateful as I am for the trips,
the important thing is that they were spent
with family - something I learned from my
grandmother. Her actions speak volumes as
she is always supportive of me and continues
to teach me the importance of serving in the
community and showing kindness daily.
