of a Lifetime Possible Texas South Plains Honor Flight

The Texas South Plains Honor Flight would like to thank the benefitted the veterans by paying for flights, meals, hotel
J.T. and Margaret Talkington Foundation for their generous accommodations, and trip shirts and caps. The grant monies
support of our mission. Grant money from the J. T. and enabled Texas South Plains Honor Flight to meet our goal
Margaret Talkington Foundation partially funded veterans of sending many area veterans to Washington, DC to see
on both the 2016 and 2017 Honor Flights. The funds directly the monuments built to honor them, focusing particularly
on veterans who served in World War II and the
Korean War, and especially those veterans who
are terminally ill. On both flights, 2016 and 2017,
the Talkington grant monies paid for forty of the
participating veterans. The Texas South Plains
Honor Flight continues to support area veterans by
offering the opportunity to travel to Washington to
see military memorials and service museums.
