As I write this, my thermometer reads 27 degrees, but we are preparing to take
our cover photo for this issue, so Spring must be just around the corner. 2025 the
marks our 9th Annual Senior to Senior edition. As you may already know, Senior
Link Magazine invites local high school seniors to contribute articles in the first
publication of each calendar year. publisher

This year twelve area high school seniors representing their respective schools
took time out of their schedules to write about people who have made an impact
on them. I have high school and college kids of my own,
so I recognize how busy their lives can be, and we are
appreciative that our young authors chose to accept Senior
Link’s invitation to honor a senior they admire. You will find
stories about pastors, teachers, grandparents, and friends.
This collection of essays provides clear evidence that someone
is looking up to you, whether you realize it or not.
In addition, we are featuring several other “Exceptional
Seniors” in our community who are making their own impact
in various areas of influence. And of course, we always pack
the magazine with plenty of resources to help guide you in
whatever area of life’s journey you find yourself.
Perhaps, as you read this issue, you will see someone you
know or maybe even be reminded of someone who invested
in your own life. Maybe you will recognize yourself as a
person who has blessed the life of one or more young
people. This issue always reminds me of the “Circle of Life.”
We bless others, and we are blessed. We give, we receive,
and we all grow from the experience. We participate in
abundant life when we choose to pass on our wisdom as well
as continue learning and growing by receiving love and counsel from others, both younger and
              older.
One more thing—we are grateful to have partnered with Adelphos Cellars for our
cover photo. What an amazing venue they have built, and it is sure to be a great asset to our
community. Adelphos’ Tasting and Event Center is a place you will want to visit. We timed our
photo for their Grand Opening and can’t wait for this establishment to make their mark on
              Lubbock and the South Plains.
As always, please thank our advertisers. Since many area vendors work extra hard to survive in
this era of giant corporations, please support their businesses by buying local. We are especially
thankful for those who come alongside Senior Link to make each issue happen.
                                                                                                Erin Agee

                                       The Mission of Senior Link

Our mission is to tell the stories of local seniors, not only to honor them,
but also to inspire and challenge younger generations. We endeavor to link
seniors with the resources they need to ensure quality of life. We believe in
the strength of the chain, in linking with one another, and in linking all of
us to information which can enhance our lives. We recognize the value of
every season of life and the uniqueness of every story.
Senior Link’s mission rests in the power of connection.
