          How to THANK

         Veteran

                s we prepare for Veteran’s Day 2022, let’s
intentionally consider the lives of the “less than
A1%” who serve(d) to protect our freedom in this
great nation. On any given day and at any given time,
they adapt to leaving their families—some for a few
months, and some for years at a time. They, and their
families, adapt to ever-changing moves and often deal
with fear about “what if.” Every member of the military the 27 million small businesses in the U.S. are veteran
counts the cost and takes a risk. owned. Frequent those businesses by adding them to
                                                                your company’s supply chain.
In WWII, more than one million left their families to fight
for our freedom—many giving the ultimate sacrifice. You might feel that our nation is experiencing some

the Gulf wars. to serve by defending our freedom. This year, do it with

Veteran’s Day is an appropriate time to say, “Thank You,”
to the few who serve the many. More than half of our God Bless America.
veterans are over the age of 60.

This Veteran’s Day, we encourage individuals to show
their thanks in actions, not just words. Here are a few
         suggestions:

         1. Write a check. Countless organizations assist our
veterans who are facing financial difficulty and offer
job counseling to those leaving the military. Wounded
Warriors is just one such organization. Or you can
simply ask a veteran what they could suggest or what
         they need.

         2. Volunteer. Give of your time to a veterans group.
An organization such as the ones who build homes for
wounded veterans is a tremendous way to say thank
you in actions far stronger than words.
         3. Hire a veteran or veteran spouse. If you are in a
management position, you’ll find that most veterans and
their spouses are talented, professional, hard-working,
         and loyal.
         4. Support Veteran Entrepreneurship. Nearly 10% of
